Symtoner på variator feil

Hvordan merkes det at variatorene trenger å byttes. Min går greit så lenge den står i fri men med engang jeg kopler til begynner den å rykke og motoren sliter med å dra rundt. Kan det være variatorne som er modne for utskifting?
